Credentials and Experience

Anila Mayhew was born in Tirana, Albania and graduated magna cum laude (i.e., 3.88 GPA) with a B.A. in English as a Second Language from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana, Albania. In addition, she has over sixty college units in science and Spanish.

As a native to Albania, Anila is intimately familiar with the contextual and cultural nuances that differentiate between a mediocre project and a truly outstanding project. Educated at the most prestigious university in Albania, she is an expert in the linguistic and grammatical details of Albanian translation. Being particularly detail oriented, Anila's skills are highly sought after by a rapidly growing number of clients.

Anila is an Active Member of the American Translators Association and has trained as an Albanian translator and interpreter with organizations such as Fultz Technical School (Tirana, Albania) and the University of the Nations in Hawaii. Anila is fluent in Albanian and English. Further, she is also proficient in Spanish, German, and is familiar with Italian, French and Russian.

Anila has been translating and interpreting for the past 15 years and has rendered services as an Albanian translator and interpreter for the Superior Court of California, the United Nations, the Albanian Supreme Court, the Albanian Ministry of Justice, Hippocrene Books, etc. Anila's proven areas of specialty include business, law, and medicine, as well as entertainment and the social sciences.

Thomas Mayhew was born in Hollywood, CA, majored in Geomatics Engineering at CSU, Fresno. A perfectionist for all things English, Thomas has found being a part of the translation profession to be a great 'home away from home' in many ways. While very active in a Product Planning Management role for a local technology firm, he enjoys making time available to review documents being translated into English.

Thomas managed the translation of specialized English documents into multiple languages as part of his Marketing Manager role at Allen Osborne Associates, Inc. (AOA). He also upgraded and managed the corporate website of AOA (subsequently acquired by ITT Corporation). Thomas has co-authored an article in CE News Magazine, has written poetry and translation articles.
